Grand Teton National Park is breathtaking in every season, but fall offers something truly special. Crisp mornings, golden aspens and cottonwoods, reflective lakes, and dramatic mountain light create ideal conditions for landscape photography.

What This Fall Photography Experience Looks Like

Fall days in Grand Teton National Park are planned around light, weather, and peak fall color rather than a rigid schedule. Because daylight hours remain long in September, our photography days typically run from sunrise through sunset.

We remain flexible and adapt our plans to evolving conditions, positioning ourselves at the best locations as light and weather change. This relaxed pace allows time to refine compositions, ask questions, and fully experience photographing one of the most iconic mountain landscapes in North America.

Fitness & Physical Considerations

This workshop is moderately active and accessible to most photographers.

Participants should be comfortable:

• Walking short distances on natural terrain
• Standing during sunrise and sunset photography sessions
• Entering and exiting vehicles multiple times during the day

Most photography locations are close to vehicles, with only short walks required.

Is This Workshop Right for You?

This workshop is ideal for photographers who:

• Want hands-on instruction while shooting
• Are interested in fall landscape photography
• Enjoy flexible schedules based on light and weather
• Prefer small groups and personalized guidance
• Want to improve their photography skills

This workshop may not be ideal if you are looking for a sightseeing tour or a rigid itinerary.

During the workshop, we focus on photographing:
